Ghana Beach Soccer League: Vodza Iron Breakers Maintain Zone 2 Lead

The second round of the Ghana Beach Soccer Premier League kicked off with a flurry of goals, delivering thrilling action across both zones. In Zone 1, reigning champions Cheetah BSC continued their dominance with a resounding 10-1 victory over Teshie United, solidifying their position at the top of the table. Close contenders Layoca BSC also secured a crucial 5-4 win against Nungua BSC, fending off a potential comeback to claim all three points.

Sea Sharks kept their title hopes alive by defeating Dansoman 4-2, keeping them in contention for the top spot.

Over in Zone 2, Vodza Iron Breakers, the season’s surprise package, maintained their lead despite being held to a thrilling 3-3 draw by Kedzi Miracle. Defending champions Ada Assurance suffered another setback in their title defense, losing 5-4 in a nine-goal thriller against bottom club Tegbi Ocean Stars. Meanwhile, three-time league champions Keta Sunset suffered their second consecutive defeat, falling to arch-rivals Havedzi Mighty Warriors.

The league action continues next weekend at the Cheetah Den in Senya Bereku, Central Region, and Keta Emancipation Beach in the Volta Region.
