Champions League: Sorry Celtic crushed by rampant Dortmund
[ad_1]
Karim Adeyemi scored a hat-trick as Borussia Dortmund hit seven past sorry Celtic at Signal Iduna Park tonight.
Celtic may have won their Champions League opener in emphatic style, beating Slovan Bratislava 5-1 a fortnight ago, but they were on the receiving end in Germany as Nuri Sahin’s men scored at will.
An early Emre Can penalty was cancelled out by Daizen Maeda but that was as good as it got for the visitors. Adeyemi netted three times in 31 first-half minutes with Serhou Guirassy also getting in on the act as Dortmund went into half-time 5-1 up.
Guirassy added his second of the night and Felix Nmecha completed the rout with 11 minutes to go.

Dortmund sit top of the table as one of three clubs with six points from two games.
Brest are surprisingly second following a hugely impressive 4-0 win at Salzburg.
Abdallah Sima scored twice for the Ligue 1 club to add to goals from Mahdi Camara and Mathias Pereira Lage.
Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen complete the trio on top with Victor Boniface scoring the only goal six minutes into the second half to see off Milan.
There were impressive wins for Inter and Barcelona tonight.
Inter beat Crvena Zvezda 4-0 at San Siro – Hakan Calhanoglu, Marko Arnautovic, Lautaro Martinez and Mehdi Taremi on target.
Barca went one better, beating Young Boys 5-0. Robert Lewandowski maintained his fine start to the season with a double to add to goals from Raphinha and Inigo Martinez while the Swiss side’s misery was compounded by an own goal from Mohamed Camara.
PSV and Sporting played out a 1-1 draw in Eindhoven, as did Stuttgart and Sparta Prague.
