The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has made major changes in the Police senior hierarchy. The changes take immediate effect. The latest development forms part of measures by the Police boss to enhance operational efficiency within the service.

The new changes include the Director General in charge of Technical, Commissioner of Police (COP), Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba has been moved to the position of Director General in charge of the National Protection Directorate (NAPD) while the Director General in charge of Welfare, COP Iddi Lansah Seidu has been made the Director General in charge Technical.

Other positions are Director General in charge of operations, COP Dr. Vance Baba Gariba has been transferred to the
position of Director General in charge of Research and Planning.

Additionally, COP Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe has been moved from the position of Director General in charge of PPSB to the Director General in charge of Operations.

The Director General of Research and Planning, DCOP Darko Offei Lomotey, has been made the Director General in charge of the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB).

The Director General in charge of NAPD, DCOP Eric Ken Winful has also been moved to the position of Director General in charge of Welfare.

In the regional and specialised units. DCOP Charles K. Adu has been appointed Eastern Sector Regional Commander, while DCOP Isaac Asante moves from the Eastern Region to the Police Headquarters. DCOP George B. Ohene Boadi has been named Central Regional Commander, and DCOP George Ankomah takes over as Eastern North Regional Commander after leaving his role at Central MTTD/AR.

Also , DCOP Alex Kodjo Wowolo, Director/ICT at National Headquarters, is now in charge of Central MTTD/AR.
